SUMMARY OF PRACTICE
Betsy has over thirty years of complex litigation experience. Her primary areas of expertise include insurance coverage and defense, title insurance litigation, government entity, financial institutions, general commercial, employment law and trusts and estates. She serves as General Counsel and Litigation Counsel to a number of government entities and supervises and administers the firm’s work on behalf of key insurance company clients. She also has been retained by both government and corporate entities and schools to conduct investigations, and provide reports and recommendations on a variety of highly sensitive and often high-profile matters. Betsy is a noted problem solver and has frequently been appointed by courts throughout the State to fiduciary positions in sometimes contentious and often complex litigation matters involving estates and corporations.
Betsy also has developed a strong trusts and estates practice. She helps individual clients with their estate planning and administration. In conjunction with her trusts and estates practice, she has developed an expertise in guardianship proceedings and is known for her empathy and compassion in assisting clients with this important process.
