SUMMARY OF PRACTICE

Frank J. Morano received his Bachelor of Arts from Boston College in 2001. He graduated from Seton Hall School of Law in 2006. Frank was admitted to the New Jersey Bar and the United States District Court for the District of New Jersey in December 2006, the New York State bar in April of 2007, and the United States Supreme Court Bar in 2018.

Frank rejoined Flanagan, Barone & O’Brien in 2022. He is Of Counsel in the firm’s litigation department and focuses his practice on insurance defense. Frank’s insurance defense practice includes motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, and nursing home matters. Trained extensively in forensics, investigation, and trial strategy, Frank provides a unique perspective into the investigation and handling of insurance defense cases.

After graduating from law school, Frank clerked for the Honorable N. Peter Conforti in Morris County, New Jersey. In November 2007, Frank became an Assistant Prosecutor for Hudson County. He prosecuted hundreds of cases during his seven year tenure with the prosecutor’s office, including robbery, homicide, and sexual assault. Frank was assigned to several different units including juvenile prosecution, criminal trial team, and Drug Court. In November 2014, Frank joined the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office in the criminal division. Frank worked for the special crimes unit, investigation and prosecuting motor vehicle, labor, and environmental crimes. He then joined the gangs and organized crime unit, handling cases including gun and drug trafficking.

Frank spent three years practicing family law and LGBTQ advocacy with Argentino Fiore Law & Advocacy, LLC. Frank’s practice included litigating divorce, custody, and domestic violence matters. He also filed and litigated name change petitions for both adults and juveniles.

Frank is Immediate Past Chair of the Somerset County Bar Foundation and a member of the Somerset County Bar Association. He is a member of the New Jersey Bar Association and is Chair-Elect of the LGBTQ Rights Section. Frank is Vice-Chair of the Somerset County LGBTQ+ Advisory Board for the County Commissioners. Frank is also a member of LGBTQ Outreach panel of the State Theatre of New Jersey. He does pro bono name changes for the Trans Affirming Alliance. Frank sits on the board of The Pingry School Alumni Association.
